Twitter and Facebook at Village Stores

David has spent all week trying to get Village Stores listed on Twitter and Facebook. He thinks he might have done it, but it's very early days yet, so please forgive a rather unpolished first attempt.
Do find us on Facebook, and "Like" us - if we deserve it, of course!
And I'm sure you'll like our Tweets, and may even wish to "@mention" us in your own.

As always, feedback is gratefully (and humbly) appreciated.

Joke for those who speak Latin

This is a joke we found on Twitter (a chap called @Randomjokes).
Julius Caesar goes into a bar and asks the bar tender for a Martinus.
"Don't you mean Martini?"

"No, I can't drink more than one!"

Week of Drama in the Villages

This week has been a week of drama in Limber and Keelby.

A middle aged gentleman was found dead in a ditch just outside Keelby on Friday 18th. We understand foul play isn't suspected, and that he may have laid undiscovered since the heavy snows last December.

On Sunday morning there was a series of small explosions in Limber. Someone had apparently set fire to a car in the Village Hall car park in the early hours. We believe the police have a suspect.

Who says rural life is without incident?

Keelby Pantomime Treasure Island

We went to see Treasure Island on Friday 4th February. It was an outstanding production - Long John Silver was great, Purity Hawkins the Dame had us all rolling in our seats, and Blind Pugh was a comic creation without rival. Very well done to everyone - how on earth you manage it, we just can't tell! First class!
